ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Assumption University women's ice hockey team fell to Rochester Institute of Technology 3-0 in their 2024-25 season opener at the Gene Polisseni Center Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
RIT started strong, opening the first period outshooting Assumption 15-3, but
Carissa Mudrak was strong in the net for the Hounds as she kept the Tigers off the scoreboard. The hosts broke through in the early portion of the second quarter, as Addie Alvarez scored at 4:19. Alvarez struck again nine minutes later, as she pushed the Tigers' lead to 2-0.
RIT added one more tally in the third period as they struck on the powerplay.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Carissa Mudrak recorded 43 saves in the crease for the Greyhounds.
- RIT outshot Assumption 46-11 while winning 32-of-51 faceoffs.
- The Tigers went 1-for-5 on the powerplay, while the Greyhounds
