EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The No. 4 nationally ranked Assumption University field hockey team used two second-half goals to knock off No. 2 East Stroudsburg University in non-conference action Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
East Stroudsburg started strong, scoring off an early penalty corner. The blast from the top of the circle was redirected behind the Assumption netminder. The hosts would carry a 1-0 lead into the second half despite the Greyhounds outshooting the Warriors 7-5.
After halftime, the Hounds tied up the game just over a minute into the second half.

Elle Murray on the break, and Murray scored a back-door goal. Six minutes later, Assumption struck again, as Murray's initial shot off the corner was saved, but
Julia Carbone drove in the rebound to give the Blue and White their first lead of the day. East Stroudsburg would control the fourth quarter, as they outshot Assumption 10-0, but
Paige Gillette and the Greyhounds defense would hold strong and earn a 2-1 road win.
