WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University women's ice hockey team drops their second-straight game to Franklin Pierce University, as the Greyhounds fell 2-1 in New England Women's Hockey Alliance action Saturday evening at the Worcester Ice Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
After a scoreless first period, Franklin Pierce got the scoring started late in the second. Ashley Wright scored on the power play for the Ravens, beating the Assumption netminder with 2:44 remaining in the frame. Bo Dean added an insurance goal for the guests halfway through the third period, but
Kayla McGaffigan scored in the final minute of regulation to make the final score 2-1.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Jadyn Weiser recorded 30 saves in the crease for the Greyhounds.
- Franklin Pierce outshot Assumption 32-29, while Assumption won 26-of-48 faceoffs.
