WORCESTER, Mass.— No. 24 nationally ranked Assumption University Men's Basketball team dropped their second-straight Northeast-10 Conference contest to Bentley University, 85-64 Saturday afternoon at Laska Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The first half was a back-and-forth for most of the frame, as neither team could maintain a lead for long. Assumption's largest lead came at 13-9 at the 13:32 mark, as
Baril Mawo recorded a layup off the
Noah Payne feed. Bentley saw their largest advantage of the first half come with 2:53 remaining in the frame, as Jordan Elliott hit a pull-up jumper, making it 38-30. The Greyhounds went on a quick run to get within two (40-38), but Aaron Latham hit a pair of shots from the charity stripe, sending the Falcons into the intermission up 42-38.
Bentley started to pull away to begin the second half, as they strung together a 12-4 run over the opening 2:29. The Falcons shot 54.3 percent in the second half while holding the Greyhounds to just 32.0 percent to pull away for an 85-64 final score.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Tayshawn Cunningham-Pemberton led the Greyhounds with 11 points, while Jamal Barnes added 10.
- Bentley outrebounded Assumption 38-28, as the Falcons outscored the Greyhounds 48-34 in the paint.
- Bentley shot 54.7 percent (35 of 64) from the floor, while Assumption shot 39.3 percent (22 of 56) from the field.
