WEST HAVEN, Conn.— The Assumption University men's basketball team suffered their first road lost of the season, as the Greyhounds fell to the University of New Haven in Northeast-10 Conference action Wednesday evening. 
 
THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED: 
The first half between the two Northeast-10 Conference teams was neck and neck for most of the frame, as Assumption was the first team to have a lead of more than one possession following a 
Baril Mawo jumper at the 4:28 marker (30-26). Following a stop, Njavan Stewert hit a jumper to put the Greyhounds up six (32-26). New Haven started to close the gap and would get within one before the end of the opening period and send the game into halftime, with the Hounds leading 36-35. 
In the early portion of the second half, the Greyhounds took a four-point lead (49-45) following a 
Tayeshawn Cunningham-Pemberton dunk at the 15:53 mark. The two teams continued to trade baskets until the Chargers went on an 11-4 run to go up 67-61, giving them their largest lead of the contest. Assumption responded with an 11-5 run to send the game to overtime tied at 75-75, with Stewart leading the charge with eight points. 
 
In the extra session, the two teams traded baskets for the first three minutes, with Assumption maintaining a slight 80-79 advantage. The Chargers would close the game on a 5-0 run to come away with the conference win. 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
	- Five Hounds logged 10+ points; Njavan Stewart led the way with 25, while Jamal Barnes (16), Baril Mawo (12), and Tayshawn Cunningham-Pemberton (10) also surpassed the ten-point threshold. 
- The Greyhounds shot 45.6 percent (31-of-68) from the field and 24.0 percent (6-of-25) from beyond the arc, while the Chargers shot at a 54.5 percent clip (30-of-55) and 40.9 percent (9-of-22) from deep. 
- The two teams had 34 rebounds, while Assumption had 12 offensive boards, compared to eight for New Haven. 
- The game was tight throughout, with 16 ties and 14 lead changes. 
- New Haven leads the all-time series 16-10.
