Men's Soccer falls to No. 10 Bentley, 2-0

WALTHAM, Mass.– The Assumption University men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to No. 10 Bentley University in Northeast 10 Conference action, Tuesday afternoon at Yetten Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Bentley was the first team to get on the board, as Michael Haikal scored via a penalty kick in the 28th minute. The Falcons controlled the action in the first half, as they outshot Assumption 11-2, while also having all six corners. 
 
In the second half, the hosts found an insurance goal in the 62nd minute as Lukas Drahos found Parker Higgins, who scored in the low right corner of the cage. The Greyhounds made a late push but could not find the back of the Bentley net. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
  • Sebastian Podgorney logged seven saves in his first action of the year. 
  • Bentley outshot Assumption 19-6, while having all 11 corner kicks of the afternoon. 
  • The Falcons now lead the all-time series 33-14-3.
