COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – After going 2-0 on the week and allowing just one goal,
Paige Gillette was named the National Field Hockey Division II Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association on Wednesday morning.

Gillette pushed her winning streak to five games, following a 2-0 week with wins over Bentley University and Saint Anselm College. She opened the week with three saves against Bentley in a 3-1 win for Assumption, before shutting out No. 9 Saint Anselm with nine stops. Gillette added another shutout to her tally to begin the week with a 3-0 win against Pace on Tuesday evening.
