WORCESTER, Mass.– The No. 8 nationally ranked Assumption University field hockey team put up seven goals in their shutout win over Molloy University on Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
From the opening whistle, the Greyhounds were unleashed and, on a mission to strike a high volume of shots on the Lions' net. In the opening quarter, they racked up 11 shots, seven of which were on target.
Julia Carbone scored three minutes in.
Elle Murray scored four minutes later. Assumption led 2-0 at the first intermission. In the second quarter,
Marta Brzoska scored the only goal, which was her fourth of the year. During the second half, Assumption was stifled in the third quarter. They couldn't find insurance. Then in the fourth quarter, the Hounds put up four goals in an eight-minute span to cruise to victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Elle Murray led the offense with ten shots.
- Five different Greyhounds scored against the Lions.
- Julia Carbone led the game with points, scoring two goals and recording two assists.
- Paige Gillette did not need to make a save for her second-straight shutout.
- Assumption leads the all-time 7-0.
