WORCESTER, Mass.– The Assumption University men's soccer team fell 3-1 in Northeast 10 conference play against Bentley University Saturday evening at Normand R. Marois '57 Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Greyhounds opened the scoring at 6:22 when captain
Axel Gerremo scored his third goal of the season on a penalty kick. Assumption held the lead for 22 minutes when Bentley's Lucas Drahos leveled the match at 1-1. The Falcons buried another at 32:26 to take and hold the lead into intermission. The Hounds conceded another goal at '58, and trailed 3-1 the remainder of the way.
Paul Booth ripped a shot, narrowly missing right of the goal, that would end up as Assumption's best chance late in the second half. A strong defensive effort kept the Blue and White within reach, but the Falcons did a good job keeping the Greyhounds out of scoring areas.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Cathal Carney recorded six saves in the loss.
- The Falcons outshot the Greyhounds 22-5 with nine shots on goal to one.
