WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University men's basketball team moved up one spot in the National Association of Basketball Coaches poll, sitting at No. 21, as announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.

The Greyhounds (7-1, 0-0 NE10) are led offensively by
Tayeshawn Cunningham-Pemberton, who has scored 18.3 points per game, while
Noah Payne (13.4),
Daouda Dembele (13.4),
Matt Breen (12.0),
Luke Michalski (11.3), and
Zee McCown (10.8) all average 10+ points. Defensively,
Lenny Tangishaka is one of six players in Division II to have 15+ steals (18) and 10+ blocks (10).
The Hounds have the 19
th highest scoring offense in the nation (90.6 points per game), while also ranking in the top ten in fastbreak points (1
st – 24.25), steals per game (2
nd – 15.0), turnovers forced per game (4
th – 22.00), turnover margin (5
th – 8.6), assists per game (9
th – 19.5)
Assumption will close out the semester on the road, as they will take on No. 2 Daemen University (Thursday, Dec. 17 – 12:00 pm), No. 5 Nova Southeastern University (Friday, Dec. 19 – 12:00 pm), and Caldwell University (Sunday, Dec. 21 – 12:00 pm).
