SOUTH BURLINGTON, VT.— The Assumption University men's ice hockey team fall in the regular season finale at Saint Michael's College, as the Greyhounds dropped a 4-2 Northeast-10 Conference decision.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
After a scoreless first period, where Assumption outshot Saint Michael's 14-8,
Leo Piandes put the Greyhounds on the board early into the second period, as he scored on the power play at the 3:44 marker. Just over three minutes later, Piandes struck again putting Assumption up 2-0. The game flipped over the next few minutes, as the Purple Knights struck for three goals in just over a minute before adding one more before the end of the period to go up 4-2.
That would be all of the scoring that either side would see, as Saint Michael's would hold on for a 4-2 final score.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Callum. Welch logged 30 saves for the Greyhounds.
- Assumption had the slight edge in shots (35-34), while the two teams split the 58 faceoffs (29-29).
Both teams scored on the power play, as the Hounds went 1-for-3, while the Knights went 1-for-2.
- Saint Michael's leads the all-time series 44-31-3.
