WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University women's basketball team is back in the Division II East Regional First Round, as they will take on Holy Family University on Friday, March 14, at 12:00 pm at the Dana Center on the campus of Bentley University.

No. 6 Assumption University Greyhounds
THE SEASON TO THIS POINT
Record: 19-13 (9-11 NE10), 12-4 at home, 6-9 on the road, 1-0 at neutral
- Assumption returns to the NCAA East Regional for the tenth time in their program history and the third-straight season, for the first time in program history
- The Greyhounds were well represented on the All-Conference teams, as Marina Callahan was named to the All-NE10 First Team and All-Defensive Team, while Molly Stokes picked up All-NE10 Third Team honors.
- The Hounds rank in the top-25 in blocks per game (17th – 4.4) and scoring defense (17th – 54.9)
- Assumption is one of 17 schools to have teams at both regionals, while the Hounds are one of five schools to have the same seeding in both brackets (Fairmont State, Gannon, Harding, and Central Washington).

- 2023-24: Defeated Pace in the NE10 Quarterfinals, 55-54, before falling to Southern Connecticut 60-47 in the conference semifinals. Defeated Franklin Pierce 58-43 in the NCAA First Round before falling to Daemen 68-58 in the NCAA Semifinals.
- 2024-25: Defeated Franklin Pierce (65-53), New Haven (57-54 – OT), and Adelphi (54-48) before falling to Bentley in the NE10 Championship.
No. 3 Holy Family University Bengals

Record: 24-6 (13-3 CACC), 10-3 at home, 12-3 on the road, 2-0 at neutral sites
- Holy Family is playing in its first regional tournament since the 2015-16 campaign when they fell in the first round.
- The Bengals are led by Taylor Hinkle, who picked up All-CACC First Team and D2CCA All-Region Second Team honors, while Skyler Searfoss and Carolynn Prevost were named to the All-CACC Third Team.
- HFU currently receives votes in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association poll while ranking as high as 19th in mid-January.
- The Philadelphia-based school ranks in the top-25 nationally in rebound margin (9th – 9.1), fouls per game (15th – 13.8), rebounds per game (17th – 41.97), and three-point defense (22nd – 26.0)
