ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Assumption University baseball team dropped their seventh-straight loss to start the year, falling to Flagler College 5-1 in non-conference action Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Flagler struck in the bottom of the first inning before adding insurance runs in the third, fourth, sixth, and eighth to go up 5-0. Assumption eventually got on the board in the top of the ninth, as
Jamison Howland doubled home
Cody Smith with a base knock down the right field line. That would be all the Greyhounds would score, as they would fall 5-1.
Alex Messig took the loss despite allowing just two runs over 6.0 innings, where he scattered seven hits and struck out a pair.
