MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Assumption University softball team shutout in a pair of games in Florida, as the Greyhounds fell to the University of Bridgeport (4-0) and Saginaw Valley State University (6-0) Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Game One Score: University of Bridgeport 4, Assumption University 0
Bridgeport started fast, plating one run at the top of the first before plating another in the third and two more in the fifth. The Greyhounds would get a runner to third base three times but would be unable to score and would fall 4-0.
Game Two Score: Saginaw Valley State University 6, Assumption University 0
Saginaw Valley took control of the game early and would not look back, as the Cardinals plated two runs in the bottom of the first inning before scoring in every inning besides the third and the sixth. Assumption's lone hit came in the top of the seventh, as
Kaitlyn Cahill laced a double to center field but could not scratch a run across.
