WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University men's lacrosse team moved up to No. 19 in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) coaches poll on Monday afternoon.

The Greyhounds (9-3, 4-3 NE10) moved up in the national rankings as they are coming off a tough loss to No. 5 Adelphi. The Hounds are ranked in the top 25 in scoring defense (4
th – 6.67), face-off winning percentage (5
th – 0.654), scoring margin (15
th – 5.67), man-down defense (15
th – 0.739), clearing percentage (17
th – 0.889), and turnovers per game (15
th – 16.58).
Freshman
Ben McHugh leads the Greyhounds offensively with 30 goals and 38 points, while
Brady McNulty and
Ryan Bogar have combined in their graduate student year for 40 goals, 23 assists, and 63 points. Defensively, the trio of
Trent Sargent,
Declan Turner, and
Colby Leighton combine for 53 caused turnovers and 75 ground balls, while
Shane Corcoran has been one of the best netminders in the country in his first year in Worcester. In 12 games, he supports a 6.95 goals-against average and a 0.638 save percentage, and his 132 saves rank him first in the Northeast-10 Conference.
Men's Lacrosse closes out the regular season with another contest against a nationally ranked opponent, as they will host No. 13 Bentley University on Tuesday, April 15, at 7:00 pm.
