WEST HAVEN, Conn.—The Assumption University softball team pushed their winning streak to seven games, as the Greyhounds earned a pair of one-run Northeast-10 Conference wins against the University of New Haven on Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Game One Score: Assumption University 5, University of New Haven 4
New Haven jumped on the board first, scoring in the bottom of the first inning on an error. Assumption broke through in the top of the second on an
Emma Bloom double to center field before going in front when
Kaylee Lacomb scored on a
Raigan Gregoire sacrifice fly to center.
The Chargers regained the lead in the bottom of the fourth as they plated two runs on an infield single.
Kaitlyn Cahill tied the game again with a solo home run over the left field fence, tying the game at 3-3.
Naomi Cohen crossed the plate on a sacrifice fly to right, giving the Greyhounds a 4-3 advantage.
Grace Heim came in clutch once again, as her single to left field in the top of the seventh drove in
Alyssa Johnson, making it 5-3, Assumption. New Haven would add one run in the bottom of the seventh, but the Hounds would come out victorious with a 5-4 final score.
Game Two Score: Assumption University 3, University of New Haven 2
Assumption was the first team to get on the board, as Molly Gree drove in Cahill with an infield single.
Bianca Vincequere doubled the Greyhounds' advantage with an RBI single to center in the second.
Naomi Cohen joined in on the scoring in the top of the fifth with a solo home run to left field, making it 5-0 Assumption.
In the pitching circle,
Paige Cote was dealing, as the sophomore held New Haven out of the hits column until one out in the bottom of the fourth, as Emily Ricci singled to left field. On the day, Cote went the distance, where she struck out six and only allowed two runs in the bottom of the sixth.
