MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Assumption University men's cross country team was voted to finish third, while the women's team was picked to finish eighth in the Northeast 10 Conference Cross Country Coaches' Poll released Tuesday afternoon.
Assumption received 64 points on the men's side, while the women recorded 33 points.

Whitney Cyr enters her fourth year at the helm of the Greyhounds after the men were the NE10 runners-up, while the women placed 11
th at the conference championship.
The men's side returns 15 runners from last year's squad, while adding five freshmen to their lineup, while the women have eight returners but added six freshmen to the mix.
On the men's side, Southern Connecticut (80) was selected to win the conference for the fourth-straight season, with Bentley (70) picked to finish as the runners-up. Franklin Pierce (53) was voted to finish fourth, with Southern New Hampshire (51) in fifth, Adelphi (45) sixth, Saint Anselm (42) seventh, Saint Michael's (33) ninth, and American International (19) in tenth.
On the women's side, Southern Connecticut (81) and Bentley (81) were tied to take the championship this season, with the Owls taking one more first-place vote over the Falcons (5-4). Southern New Hampshire (77) was picked third, Saint Anselm (70) in fourth, Saint Michael's (55) in fifth, Adelphi (49) in sixth, and Franklin Pierce (44) in seventh. Pace (26) and American International round out the rankings in ninth and tenth, respectively.
The Greyhounds will open the 2025 campaign in New Hampshire, as they will race in the Shacklette Invitational on the campus of Saint Anselm College.
