WORCESTER, Mass. – CJ Strong of the Assumption University men's golf team was named as the Northeast 10 Conference Rookie of the Week, announced by the conference on Wednesday afternoon.

Strong picked up his first win of the year, as the freshman finished at -9 following three rounds of action at the Granite State Opener. He was one of two players to shoot under par for all three rounds, and the only one who was at least a -2. Strong's best round came in the second half of Monday, as he shot a -4 with just two bogies and six birdies.
