WORCESTER, Mass.– The Assumption University men's soccer came up short against Southern Connecticut State University, 1-0, in Northeast 10 Conference action at Normand R. Marois '57 Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The match started slowly, with Assumption and Southern Connecticut State University maintaining strong defenses. There were zero shot attempts from the Greyhounds in the first half, and for SCSU, five shots on goal were attempted but saved by Greyhound goalie
Cathal Carney. Edward Mensah from SCSU scored the first goal of the game with only 40 seconds left in the first half.
The second half of the match started hot with a shot by Assumption
Cody Holbert, but the Owls' Diego Flores saved it. The Hounds applied the pressure late but were unable to find the equalizer.
