SPRINGFIELD, Mass. —The Assumption University men's basketball team makes it back-to-back wins, following a 91-80 Northeast 10 Conference win at American International College on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Assumption started fast as they raced out to a 12-5 lead, 3:30 into the game. The Greyhounds pushed their lead to eight, following a
Baril Mawo three-pointer. American International would not go quietly, as they trimmed the deficit down to two (26-24), but it was Assumption that closed the first half strong, with a 19-7 run, making it 45-31 after 20 minutes.
In the second half, the Yellow Jackets would cut the deficit to four (53-49) with 15:31 left in the half, but
Jacob Gibbons fueled an 11-4 run to back up 11 (64-53). The two teams continued to trade runs throughout the second half, but it would be the Blue and White's 22-14 run in the final 7:14 of regulation to secure a 91-80 road win.
BY THE NUMBERS:
- Zee McCown led Assumption with 18 points, while Daouda Dembele (14), Baril Mawo (13), and Noah Payne (11) all recorded double-digit points.
- American International outrebounded Assumption 41-36, while the Greyhounds won the battle in the paint (36-26).
- All ten players for the Greyhounds recorded at least two points and one rebound in the win.
- Assumption leads the all-time series 65-51
