Records: Greyhounds (6-6-3, 4-3-2 NE10) | Hawks (9-6-1, 5-4-0 NE10)

HOW IT HAPPENED
Saint Anselm opened the scoring in the 29th minute, as Amarys Jimenez found the back of the net at 28:05 off assists from Bianca Maciel and Nicole Schneider. Assumption looked to respond with scoring opportunities from Rachael Geniuch and Elizabeth Schoeneberger, but the Hawks held their 1-0 lead heading into halftime.

The Greyhounds wasted little time finding the equalizer in the second half, as Schoeneberger scored her sixth goal of the season at 47:43 to tie it 1-1. The unassisted tally came less than three minutes after the break and gave Assumption new life in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship First Round.

Saint Anselm regained the lead in the 62nd minute when Madison Botta scored at 61:20 off assists from Jimenez and Kate Crowley, putting the Hawks ahead 2-1. Assumption continued to push forward, with Vera Laneborg forcing a save in the 67th minute before Schoeneberger generated two additional scoring opportunities.

The Greyhounds increased their offensive pressure down the stretch, earning four corner kicks between the 75th and 78th minutes. Geniuch nearly found the equalizer at 76:51, but Saint Anselm goalkeeper Samantha Swidorski saved it. Lilina Shiers added another shot in the 84th minute, but the Hawks held on for the 2-1 victory.
