WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University swimming and diving team wrapped up their season at the Northeast 10 Conference Championships on Sunday at the WPI Sports & Recreation Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Emma Kates started the day with an 11
th-place finish in the women's 1650 yd freestyle (19:09.79), before
Lindsey Downer took 15
th (19:58.83).
Brooke Silvia finished 11th with a PR in the women's 20 yd Backstroke (2:16.48), while
Audrey Hannigan had a 15
th-place finish in the women's 100 yd freestyle (55.61).
Kenny Guan grabbed the first points of the day for the men's side, as he finished 16
th in the men's 100 yd freestyle (48.75).
Sophia Lake took home her second gold medal, as she won the women's 200 yd breaststroke (2:22.90), shaving nearly two seconds off her seed time.
Austin Hyer (2:13.87) and
Sean Leary (2:14.60) finished 12
th and 14
th in the men's 200 yd breaststroke, while
Jasmine Johnson (2:21.03) and Ruthie Riccobon (2:21.53) took 12
th and 13
th in the women's 200 yd butterfly.
Sean Leary was the final individual to pick up points for Assumption, as he took 15
th in the men's 200 yd butterfly.
In the relays, the grouping of
Aubriana Garcia,
Giulia Faulkner,
Audrey Hannigan, and
Sophia Lake finished ninth in the women's 400 yd freestyle relay (3:45.63), while
Jasmine Johnson,
Hannah English,
Emma Kates, and
Brooke Silvia took 18
th (3:54.53) in the same event. On the men's side, Alex Morales,
Sean Leary,
Austin Hyer, and
Kenny Guan finished in ninth (3:22.52), while
Xavier Tula,
Ronan Keenan,
Matthew Williamson, and
Gabriel Paiva (4:10.82) touched the pad at 4:10.82.
