HOOKSETT, N.H.— The Assumption University men's ice hockey team rallied from down two goals to win 4-3 at Southern New Hampshire University in Northeast 10 Conference action Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Southern New Hampshire started strong started fast, scoring two goals in the opening 10:21, despite Assumption outshooting the hosts 19-13 in the first period. The Greyhounds had a fast start to the second period, as
Thomas McGaffigan and Declan Champan scored within 3:30, before taking their first lead of the game at 13:19, as
Daniel Lemanski lit the lamp. The Hounds' advantage would double in the final three minutes of the middle period, as
Caden Connors found the back of the net.
In the third period, the Penmen got within one, as Josh Russell got on the board, but despite outshooting the Blue and White 17-9 in the frame, Assumption would hold on for a 4-3 final score.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Michael Salvatore logged 37 saves in the win.
- Southern New Hampshire outshot Assumption 40-38, while the Penmen won 50-of-77 faceoffs.
- SNHU was a perfect 1-for-1 on the power play, while the Greyhounds were scoreless on three attempts.
- The Hounds extended their winning-streak to nine games, and their unbeaten streak to 12.
- Assumption leads the all-time series 45-43-5
