WORCESTER, Mass. – Two Assumption University student-athletes, as Men's Lacrosse sophomore, Boomer Staunton, was named as the Northeast 10 Conference Player of the Week, while Michael Caron of the Baseball team took home Rookie of the Week honors, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week
Boomer Staunton, Assumption
Sophomore | Midfielder | Bloomfield, Conn.

Staunton posted just the 35th 10-goal performance in NCAA Division II history in a 24-12 win against AIC Saturday.  Most notably, the bulk of Staunton's goals came before the game was truly decided.  Seven of Staunton's 10 scores came while Assumption led by just six midway through the third quarter.  The 10 goals are the third-most scored in a game across any NCAA level this season.  Staunton rounded his week out with a goal and an assist in Assumption's upset over ranked SNHU.
Baseball Rookie of the Week
Michael Caron, Assumption
Freshman | Outfielder | Brentwood, N.H.

Across three games this week for Assumption, Caron batted .750 with six hits, three runs, a triple, two home runs, and six RBI, while supporting a 2.528 OPS. On Sunday against Adelphi, he went 3-for-3 with a triple, a home run, and two RBI in game one. In the nightcap, he went 3-for-5 with another home run and four RBI. Assumption earned a series split with Adelphi.
