COLCHESTER, VT.—The Assumption University baseball team dropped a pair of Northeast 10 Conference games on Saturday afternoon as Saint Michael's College, after falling 5-3 in game one, before dropping the second game 10-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Game One Score: Saint Michael's College 5, Assumption University 3
Assumption started fast, as
Michael Caron scored on a
Chris Klein infield single. Caron doubled the Greyhounds' advantage with an RBI double in his next at-bat, plating
Patrick Kostiw. Saint Michael's tied the game in the bottom of the third, with a two-run home run to left center.
In the top of the seventh,
Jack Blaine put Assumption back in front with an RBI single to left field, plating
Sam Curtis on the play. The Purple Knights would answer in the bottom of the frame, as they plated three runs, capped off by a walk-off two-run home run from Max Kolifrath.
Game Two Score: Saint Michael's College 10, Assumption University 3
Saint Michael's was the first team to strike, as they plated one run in the bottom of the first. Assumption tied the game in the top of the second, as
Christopher Manzo scored on a wild pitch. The Purple Knights responded in the bottom of the inning, as they struck for four runs to go up 5-1.
The hosts continued to add to their lead with one run in the third, and three more in the sixth to go up 9-1. In the top of the seventh, Manzo scored once again on a throwing error by the shortstop. After Saint Michael's extended their lead back to eight. Assumption would score one run in the top of the ninth, as Klein scored on a wild pitch, but it would not be enough as they would fall 10-3.
