HOW IT HAPPENED:
Game One Score: American International College 6, Assumption University 2
American International started strong, as Brooklyn Cividanes cleared the bases with a double to right center, putting the visitors up 3-0. Assumption got on the board in the bottom of the fourth, as
Olivia Kurth drove in Sierra Nardelli on a sacrifice bunt.
The Yellow Jackets responded in the fifth, as they plated three runs in the frame to go up 6-1. The Greyhounds would answer with one run in the bottom of the sixth to fall 6-2.
Game Two Score: Assumption University 9, American International College 1 – 6 Innings
The Assumption bats came alive in game two, as they scored five runs in the bottom of the first, which included five stolen bases in the frame.
Maddy Bland made it 6-0 with an RBI groundout in the bottom of the second, before AIC plated their first run of the frame in the top of the third with a bunt single.
The Hounds would continue to add to their lead with
Kaitlyn Cahill driving in
Jaiden Tonucci with a bunt single, before scoring on another Bland groundout.
Kaylee Lacomb capped off the game with an RBI double by the senior, taking the nightcap 9-1 in six innings.
