MANCHESTER, N.H.—The Assumption University baseball team dropped a pair of Northeast 10 Conference contests at Southern New Hampshire University on Friday afternoon, falling in game one 4-0 and then in game two 9-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Game One Score: Southern New Hampshire University 4, Assumption University 0
Southern New Hampshire scored early, as they hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the first inning. After adding an insurance run in the second, the Penmen scored one final run in the eighth on a wild pitch.
Evan Remington took the loss for Assumption, despite striking out nine over 8.0 innings and allowing just two runs.
Game Two Score: Southern New Hampshire University 9, Assumption University 2
SNHU started game two strong, as they capitalized on a Greyhound error in the second inning, plating three runs in the frame. The hosts would add to their advantage in the third, with an RBI double to left center, pushing their advantage to 4-0.
Assumption got on the board in the top of the fourth, as
Tommy Ocasal scored on a wild pitch, but Southern New Hampshire responded in the bottom half of the frame with two runs of their own.
Sam Curtis scored in the fifth, as the sophomore stole home, making it 6-2. SNHU broke the game open in the sixth, with a three-run home run to bring the final score to 9-2 in seven innings.
