NEW HAVEN, Conn.—The Assumption University baseball team's season has come to a close, as the Greyhounds split the regular season finale at Southern Connecticut State University, Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Game One Score: Southern Connecticut State University 2, Assumption University 0
Game one was a pitcher's duel, as the only scoring that came in the bottom of the fifth inning, when Southern Connecticut State scored two runs.
Game Two Score: Southern Connecticut State University 17, Assumption University 9
The Greyhounds got on the scoreboard first in game two, as
Michael Caron drove in
Will Panza in the top of the second, before
Christopher Manzo had a two-RBI single through the left side of the infield.
Tony Salvatelli capped off the inning with a two-RBI double to left, plating Manzo and
Chris Klein on the play, making it 5-0 Assumption
After Southern plated two runs in the third, the Greyhounds added a run in the fourth, as Anthony Maro scored on a wild pitch. The Hounds would regain a five-run lead, as Caron drove in
Patrick Kostiw with a single to right field. SCSU would battle back to get within one run, as they scored twice in the sixth and two more in the eighth, bringing the score to 7-6. Assumption would break the game open with a six-run ninth inning, with
Patrick McManus, Marco, Manzo, and
Nick Paharik driving in runs, pushing the final score to 13-6.
Michael Crowley picked up the win, as he struck out seven in 5.0 innings of action, where he did not allow an earned run.
Luke Barry closed out the game, as he pitched the final 1.1 innings, where he allowed just one hit and had one strikeout.
