WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University Department of Athletics secured its highest finish in the annual Learfield Directors' Cup Standings, coming in at 60^th, as announced by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) on Tuesday afternoon. 

Every year since 1995, except for 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19, the Learfield Sports Directors' Cup has been awarded to the year's best athletic institution, with points based on each institution's finish in the NCAA Championships. The NCAA Division II consists of more than 300 colleges and universities.

Assumption's previous highest finish was 85^th in 2023-24.

The Greyhounds totaled 327 points this season, with nine teams competing in the NCAA Tournament. Assumption collected 199 points this spring, with softball reaching the East Super Regional for 64 points, men's tennis (50), men's lacrosse (45), women's tennis (25), and men's golf (15) also scoring in the final semester. 
 
The Blue and White finished the fall semester in 67^th place, with football contributing 53 points and field hockey taking home 25. The remaining 50 points came from both men's and women's basketball, splitting their points over the winter. 

Assumption finished third among the ten Northeast 10 schools behind Adelphi (33) and Bentley (50)

Grand Valley State won the 2025-26 Learfield Cup crown, accumulating 1,089.75 points to win the title for the 18th time.
