WORCESTER, Mass. – Owen Fitzgerald picked up some preseason recognition, as the Assumption University linebacker was named to the D2Football.com Elite 100 Watch List, as announced Thursday evening.

Fitzgerald is coming off a season where he tallied the fifth most stops in an individual season with 127 in 12 games, while adding 5.0 sacks and 12.0 tackles for a loss. The Auburn native has totaled 124 solo tackles, while adding 161 assisted stops for 285.
He is coming off back-to-back All-NE10 First Team selections, while also being named to the D2CCA All-Super Region 1 selection.
The Greyhounds begin the 2026 season at home against Kutztown University on Thursday, September 3
