WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University men's soccer team ran their unbeaten streak to five games, as the Greyhounds opened up Northeast 10 Conference action with a 3-2 win over Saint Michael's College, Saturday afternoon at Normand R. Marois '57 Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Assumption controlled much of the action in the opening half, generating seven shots and three corner kicks, but Saint Michael's broke through just before halftime. An own goal in the 44th minute gave the Purple Knights a 1-0 advantage heading into the break.
The Greyhounds came out aggressively in the second half and found the equalizer in the 57th minute. After Saint Michael's was whistled for a foul in the box,
Cody Holbert converted the ensuing penalty kick for his ninth goal of the season, tying the contest at 1-1.
Assumption continued to apply pressure and took its first lead in the 64th minute.
Ludvig Svegart found the back of the net off an assist from Holbert to put the Greyhounds ahead, 2-1. Just under seven minutes later, Holbert set up
Evan Fletcher for his second goal of the season, extending the advantage to 3-1.
Saint Michael's cut the deficit to one in the 79th minute on a goal from Treyce Brannigan, but Assumption held off the late push to secure the
3-2 victory.

- Assumption outshot Saint Michael's 21-9 and had five corners to four for the visitors.
- The Purple Knights were whistled for six offside calls, while the Hounds were caught three times.
