WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to No. 16 Queens College in non-conference action Saturday afternoon at Normand R. Marois '57 Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Assumption generated an opportunity immediately off the opening whistle, as
Ludvig Svegart put a shot on goal just four seconds into the contest. Queens responded quickly, however, as Tommy Gunn opened the scoring at 6:31 to give the Knights a 1-0 advantage. Queens doubled its lead in the 25th minute when Keithland Cesar scored off an assist from Ryan Harding.
Cody Holbert put an attempt on target in the 34th minute, but Assumption entered halftime trailing 2-0.
The Greyhounds increased the pressure after the break, recording eight shots in the second half. Holbert generated three chances over an eight-minute span before
Ryan Linhares broke through at 65:00, scoring his second goal of the season to cut the deficit to 2-1.
Assumption continued searching for the equalizer, with Linhares and
Evan Fletcher each recording attempts over the next 12 minutes. Queens restored its two-goal advantage at 80:25 when Noah Gronvold Roe scored off an assist from Bradyn Brown, making it 3-1. Holbert produced another chance shortly after, but the Greyhounds couldn't close the gap.

- Federico Foganio made two saves in the loss.
- Queens outshot Assumption 15-12 and had a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.
- The Knights were flagged for offsides six times, while the Hounds were caught once.
