Prior to Assumption: Played football, basketball, and track and field at Durfee high school… Was named a Big Three All-Star, a Herald News All-Star, and the MVP for Durfee football… Was a captain for his football team and rushed for over 1,000 yards… Was a part of the peaceful coalition which was a violence and gang prevention group, he participated in citywide cleanups, and he also volunteered at pewee football and basketball camps.
