Prior to Assumption: Played football, baseball, basketball, and threw javelin at David Brearley high school… As a freshman he made third team All-Conference, sophomore first team All-conference, All-district and All-State, junior first team All-Conference, and senior year was first team All-Conference, All-District, and second team All-State…. In his senior season, he had 45 catches for 875 yards… For his career he totaled 132 catches for 2,337 yards and 23 touchdowns… Was the president for his relay for life committee in high school and he helped at local food drives.

Personal: Son of Renee and Everett Collier... His relative, Norman Granger played at Iowa State and for the Cowboys and the Jaguars as a running back.
