Joe Powers is entering his 3rd season as a part of the Assumption baseball team coaching staff and his first in the recruiting coordinator role. Joe graduated from Saint Peter Marian High School, where he was a part of two district titles and one state final runner-up. Joe did a post-grad year at Worcester Academy. After high school, Joe went down to Barry University in Miami Shores, Fla. After just one year at Barry, Joe found himself a part of the Fitchburg State program. COVID is what led to Joe stepping away from the game as a player. While at Fitchburg, Joe was named a MASCAC Sportsmanship award winner for the 2020 season. He is a coach for the Evolution travel baseball program, based in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.Â
