Brad Kelly enters his first season as the Wide Receivers Coach in 2021.
Kelly comes to Assumption with five years of coaching experience. Most recently, he was the offensive coordinator at Portsmouth High School (Portsmouth, Rhode Island) for the 2019 and Spring 2021 seasons. There, he helped Portsmouth reach the Rhode Island Division 1 State Championship game in 2019 and the Division 1 Semifinals in 2021.
Prior to Portsmouth, Kelly worked as the Wide Receivers and Tight Ends Coach at Salve Regina University (Newport, Rhode Island) in 2018. Kelly helped the Seahawks win a share of the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship, going 6-1 in conference play. He mentored two All-CCC selections in one season.
Prior to Salve Regina, Kelly worked as the Wide Receivers Coach at Portsmouth High School, helping the Patriots reach the Rhode Island Division 1 Semifinals in consecutive seasons in 2016 and 2017.
Kelly played football at Salve Regina (2012-2015) where he earned New England Football Conference Academic All-Conference honors in 2015. He appeared in 30 games over four seasons, and was chosen to the NEFC Weekly Honor Roll in Week 7 of 2013 for his efforts in Salve Regina’s game against Curry College.
Kelly graduated from Salve Regina in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Administration of Justice.
