In the 2022/23 campaign, the Greyhounds recorded a 16-15-1 record while going 11-8-1 in conference action. They were 7-8-1 at home while going 8-6 on the road. Notable victories included a 4-3 victory over Saint Anselm where the Hounds scored three goals to complete the comeback and two road victories vs Franklin Pierce. Ultimately, the Hounds made the playoffs again, reaching the NE10 semifinals. Ryan Decker was the lone Hound to be named to an All-Conference team, as he heard a spot on the All-Rookie team.

After the COVID season, Looney returned for the 2021-22 campaign and helped guide the Hounds to a NE10 Championship. They went 16-12-2 overall and 10-7-1 in conference. The Hounds played their best hockey towards the end of the season, defeating Franklin Pierce in the First Round after never beating them in the regular season. Next round, they took down Stonehill 5-2 in a controlling performance. In the championship, Assumption used three third period goals to pull off the victory vs Post University 4-3.

In 2019/2020, Michael Looney will began his second season as the Assumption Men's Ice Hockey coach. He led the Greyhounds to a 15-9-4 record while going an impressive 12-4-2 in conference, which won the Greyhounds their first Northeast-10 Regular Season Championship. Assumption held up very well on the road, going 7-3-3. Towards the ladder end of the season, the Hounds ripped off a 14 game unbeaten run which included 11 wins to put them in a good position for the conference tournament, where Assumption made the Northeast-10 Semifinals. The Hounds scored 111 goals on 1,286 shots on the year.

In his first season as head coach, Looney guided the Hounds to a 15-9-3 record. His team qualified for the Northeast-10 Playoffs, but fell to Saint Anselm, the all-time leader in NE-10 Championship wins, 2-1 in the longest game in program history. Under Looney's guidance, the Hounds' Devan Sheth and Robert Roche earned NE-10 Rookie of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year respectively, while the Hounds also had five players earn All-Conference awards. Looney also had seven different players earn NE-10 weekly awards throughout the season, with the team earning 11 in all.
