Assumption University

Tim Viola will be in his seventh season as an assistant coach of the Assumption Univeristy Women's Basketball team in the upcoming 2023-24 season. 

COACHING CAREER

• Assistant Coach at Newbury College 
  • Responsible for coaching the forwards
  • Coached sophomore Jaymesha Sanders to an All-Conference honor along with a NEWBA Player of the Week honor while she averaged 15.2 points and 10 rebounds per game. 
• Assistant Coach at Assumption University (First Stint)
  • Helped Hounds go 19-9 and qualify for the NCAA Tournament for the first time in four years
• Assistant Coach at Fisher College (2015-2016)
  • Worked with defense and forwards while preparing scouting reports for upcoming games
• Director of Player Training at Central Mass Lightning AAU Basketball Club
  • Helped high school players prepare and train for the collegiate level
• Assistant Director and coach at Lady Elite AAU Basketball Club + Head Coach at Team Central at the Bay State Games Girl's Basketball Showcase
• Head Women's Coach/Assistant Athletic Director at Covenant Christian Academy

PERSONAL LIFE

• Viola is a Peabody, Mass. native where he lives with his wife Kristy, and their one-year old daughter, Eliza
• He received his M.S. in Recreation and Sports Studies with a concentration in Coaching Education from Ohio University in 2016
• Viola attended Gordon College from 2006-2008 and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in biblical studies from Northpoint Bible College in May 2011
