Chip Warner

In 2024 the Assumption Women's Soccer had an overall record of 7-5-6 and a conference record of 1-4-5. The season began with a four game winning streak, tied for the best season-starting streak since 2005 when Assumption began the season 9-0. After his third season with the Greyhounds, Coach Warner has led the team to an overall record of 15-15-21.

In his second season, the Greyhounds had a 5-6-6 overall record with a 4-5-3 conference record. The Hounds went 3-3-3 at home while going 2-3-3 on the road. Despite only five wins on the year, Assumption clinched a #7 seed and faced off against Franklin Pierce for a second straight year in the playoffs. 

In his first season as head coach, Warner helped lead the Hounds to a 7-4-8 record overall while going 5-3-5 in conference. The Greyhounds excelled on the road, going 5-3-2. Right after beating Franklin Pierce University 2-1 on the road to end their season, Assumption faced against the Ravens again and defeated them in penalty kicks to advance to the Northeast-10 Championship Semifinals. They fell to Southern Connecticut State, also on penalty kicks.

    • Helped coach the team to their first Northeast-10 Championship appearance since 2014

    • Head of Recruiting, led four players to Offensive, Defensive and Goal Keeper of the Year Honors
    • 15 players were also part of the Patriot League All-Academic Team

PLAYING CAREER

  • Four-year starter and team captain at St. Bonaventure
  • Invited to participate in the preseason camp with the Rochester Rhinos

PERSONAL LIFE

  • Warner earned his B.S. in Business Administration from St. Bonaventure in 1998
  • Warner holds a USSF Youth Nation License, the NSCAA National Diploma, and the NSCAA Advance National Diploma
  • In addition to coaching, Warner also served as Director of Soccer at Lake Norman Soccer Club from 2006-2012. 
  • During his time as Director, he oversaw 28-32 teams, while managing 18-22 coaches and two coaching directors
  • He also coordinated all camps, tournaments, and instituted a 3v3 league and winter leagues during the six years he spent at Lake Norman
