New Haven, Conn. (October 4) -- The Assumption Volleyball team fell to New Haven on Tuesday, 3-0, despite 10 kills by Mary Johnston (Pearland, Texas/Glenda Dawson).

Steph Whooten (Norton, Mass./Bishop Feehan) had a team-high nine digs for the Hounds.

The Hounds couldn't overcome a strong game from New Haven junior Keidy Candelaria, who had a match-high 16 kills.

The set scores were 25-19, 25-22 and 25-13.

The Hounds fall to 4-14 with the loss and 0-7 in the Northeast-10. The team will hit the court next on Saturday, October 8th when they travel to Saint Michael's to take on the Purple Knights. The match will begin at 4:00 p.m. in Colchester.
