Colchester, Vt. (October 8) -- The Assumption women's volleyball team fell to Saint Michael's College in five sets, despite a team-high 16 kills from Mary Johnston (Pearland, Texas/Glenda Dawson).

The set scores were 25-21, 14-25, 25-15, 14-25, and 15-9.

Lauren Ostafin (Avon, Conn./Avon) had 10 kills to go along with six digs for the Hounds.  Jess Reimers (Okemos, Mich./Okemos) had a match-high 22 digs. Kristin Flatekval (Mahwah, N.J./Immaculate Heart) had 33 assists and 14 digs for the Hounds.

With the loss, Assumption falls to 0-8 in the Northeast-10 and 4-15 overall. The Hounds will look to bounce back on Tuesday, October 11th, when the team hosts Southern New Hampshire University. The match will begin at 7:00 p.m. in Worcester.
