Assumption 13, Fort Lewis (CO) 10

Worcester, Mass. -- The Assumption College Woman's Lacrosse team got their season off to a good start with a 13-10 victory at the Multi-Sport Stadium over Fort Lewis College from Colorado.

Sophomore midfielder Steph O'Rourke (Amherst, NH/Southegan) led Assumption with three goals and an assist. Sophomore attacker Michelle Santos (Holliston, MA/Holliston) also had three goals. Freshman goalkeeper Michelle Monahan (Deer Park, NY/Deer Park) had four saves and a team high five groundballs.

Freshman midfielder Abby Kvidera (Plymouth, Minn./ Robbinsdale Armstrong) and freshman attacker Amanda Cawker (Valley Center, Calif./Valley Center) each had three goals for the Skyhawks.

The Greyhounds are now 1-0. They'll being conference play next Tuesday evening as they host Northeast-10 rival Merrimack.
