Syracuse, N.Y. (September 24) – The Assumption volleyball team fell to Le Moyne, 3-1, despite 18 kills by Mary Johnston (Pearland, Texas/Glenda Dawson).

Johnston finished the game with 18 kills and 18 points to lead the Hounds. Sam Lupinski (Waltham, Mass./Waltham) also had double-digit kills Assumption, with 10.

The Hounds had three players finish with double-digit digs. Steph Whooten (Norton, Mass./Bishop Feehan) had 13 to lead the team, while Lauren Ostafin (Avon, Conn./Avon) and Kristin Flatekval (Mahwah, N.J./Immaculate Heart) each had 11. Flatekval also added 43 assists.

The Hounds drop to 4-10 on the season with the loss and 0-4 in the Northeast-10.

Assumption will host American International on Tuesday, Sept. 27th at 7:00 p.m.
