Easton, Mass. (October 2) -- Junior Kristin Flatekval (Mahwah, N.J./Immaculate Heart) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Setter of the Week, as announced by league sources today.

Flatekval averaged 13 assists per set this week as Assumption went 2-0 in her two starts. She posted an impressive 52 assists in a four-set upset over So. Connecticut on Sept. 25, and then added 39 assists in a three-set victory over Saint Michael's College.

This is the first time the junior has been recognized as the leagues top setter. On the season, she has 527 assists, for an average of just over eight per set.

Teammates Lauren Ostafin (Avon, Conn./Avon) and Ryan Merle (Skaneateles, N.Y./Skaneateles) were named to the Honor Roll for their performances this week.

The Greyhounds return to action tonight, as the team travels to American International College to take on the Yellow Jackets. The match will begin at 7:00 p.m. in Springfield, Mass.
