Box Score Worcester, Mass. (April 18) -- The Assumption College women's lacrosse team improved to 5-8 overall and 4-6 in the Northeast-10 Conference with a 17-5 victory over American International College on Wednesday evening.
Freshman standout Amy McNeil (Orange, Conn./Amity) added four goals in the victory and now had 49 on the season, putting her in sole possession of fourth place on the all-time single season scoring list, five goals behind third place.
Sophomore Kathryn Beall (Shrewsbury, Mass./Shrewsbury) scored three goals, while Camille Auger (Kennebunk, Maine/Kennebunk) and Steph O'Rourke (Amherst, N.H./Souhegan) each scored two goals.
The Greyhounds jumped out to a 9-2 lead at halftime, as Michelle Santos (Holliston, Mass./Holliston) scored her 17th tally of the season with 1:48 remaining in the first half.
Assumption scored the first eight goals of the second half to take a commanding 17-2 lead, capped by Augers' 19th goal of the season.
The Greyhounds return to action on April 24 at Stonehill College. The game will begin at 7:00 p.m. in Easton, Mass.
