Worcester, Mass. (October 15) -- The Assumption College volleyball team fell to Southern Connecticut State University by a 3-0 final at Laska Gymnasium on Tuesday evening. The set scores were 18-25, 20-25, 20-25.

Junior Ann Donahue (Braintree, Mass. / Braintree) led the Greyhounds with eight kills while sophomore Tara Reilly (Naples, Fla. / Northport) and senior Kristin Flatekval (Mahwah, N.J. / Immaculate Heart) each had five.

Flatekval also led the Greyhounds with 23 assists while senior Jess Reimers (Okemos, Mich. / Okemos) paced Assumption defensively with 24 digs. Senior Mary Johnston (Pearland, Texas / Glenda Dawson) ranked second on the team with 22 digs.

The Greyhounds fall to 4-12 on the season and are now 1-6 in Northeast-10 Conference play while the Owls improve to 12-6 overall and sit at 3-3 in the league.

Assumption is back in action on October 19th against Saint Michael's College. The match will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Saint Michael's.
