Colchester, Vt. (October 19) -- The Assumption College volleyball team fell to Saint Michael's College at the Ross Sports Center on Saturday afternoon in three sets. The set scores were 24-26, 27-29, and 15-25.

The Greyhounds battled in two very tightly contested sets to start out the match as each match went more than the scheduled 25 points.

Senior Lauren Ostafin (Avon, Conn. / Avon) led the Greyhounds with a team-high eight kills while fellow senior Alie Carlson (Amston, Conn. / RHAM) ranked second on the team with seven kills.

Senior Kristin Flatekval (Mahwah, N.J. / Immaculate Heart) directed the offense with a team-high 21 assists while senior Jess Reimers (Okemos, Mich. / Okemos) led the team defensively with 22 digs. Ostafin had 13 digs to rank second on the team.

Assumption fell to 4-13 on the season and is now 1-7 in Northeast-10 Conference play while Saint Michael's improved to 10-5 overall and sits at 2-3 in league play.

The Greyhounds are back in action on October 22nd as the Greyhounds will play host to American International College. The match will begin at 7 p.m. in Laska Gymansium.
