Garden City, N.Y. (October 8) -- The Assumption College volleyball team lost in three sets to Adelphi University by set scores of 23-25, 17-25, and 20-25 on Tuesday evening.

Senior Mary Johnston (Pearland, Texas / Glenda Dawson) led the Greyhounds with six kills while junior Ann Donahue (Braintree, Mass. / Braintree) had five kills and a .250 hitting percentage in the match. Johnston added nine digs to lead the Greyhounds defensively.

The Greyhounds fall to 3-11 with the loss and are now 0-5 in Northeast-10 Conference play while Adelphi improves to 8-7 overall and is 1-1 in the league.

Assumption is back in action on October 13th at Le Moyne College. The match will begin at 1 p.m.
