INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
-Sophomore Julia Goyette (Randolph, Mass. / Ursuline Academy) led the Greyhound offense with seven kills on eight attacks for a .750 kill percentage.

-Senior Courtney Bagwell (Diamond Bar, Calif. / Diamond Bar) led all players on both teams with 12 digs on the day.
-SNUH's Carolyn Scacchi was the only player to reach double digit kills with 10.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
-Both squads traded points for most of the first set until a kill by sophomore setter Kiki Romanik (San Rafael, Calif. / Sir Francis Drake) made it 22-24, Hounds trailing by two, with the chance to take possession. An Assupmption service error on the next play ended the first set, however, 25-22.
-The Penmen got off to a strong 6-0 lead in set two that ultimately spelled defeat for the Hounds. Assumption's Smith registered a kill mid-set to make it 8-18 before SNHU went on a seven-point run to put the game out of reach for a 25-10 final.
-In set three, Assumption fought back from a 3-0 deficit before taking an 8-6 lead on three-point service run by Maria Chrisom (Dover, N.H. / Saint Thomas Aquinas), including a Chrisom ace and back-to-back kills by Romanik and Smith. The teams traded points again until SNHU pulled ahead 12-11 on a service ace by Megan Salamun. Assumption tied the score at 14-14, 16-16, 17-17, 18-18 and 19-19 before a four-point Penmen run put the match out of reach.
