The Lead: Despite a third period goal by forward Brendan Philippon (Salem, N.H./ Philadelphia Flyers (USPHL Premier)) the Hounds were defeated by Stonehill 3-1 on Tuesday evening. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

-Just 4:40 into the game the Skyhawks got on the board when Zachary Frament scored on an assist from Tommy Newton. 

- With 3:41 left in the first, Stonehill tallied their second goal of the night when Evan Jaques scored a shorthanded goal on a 2-on-1. 

-The Skyhawks would score the lone goal in the third when forward Connor Cassidy scored on the power play assisted by Brian Higgins to make the score 3-0 heading into the third. 

- The Hounds answered with one goal in the third from forward Brendan Philippon (Salem, N.H./ Philadelphia Flyers (USPHL Premier)) to cut the deficit 3-1. Assumption would pull Nick Commesso (Marshfield, Mass. / Walpole Express (AJHL)) in a last effort to score but the Stonehill defense did not let up. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

- The Hounds out shot the Skyhawks 32-29 and went 0-for-5 on the power play. 

- Commesso made 26 saves in the loss while Stonehill goaltender Billy Palmer made 31 saves in the win.
